Search Academy began in 2008 with just one team member, Matt Collis himself.  Today, we have three senior consultants based at our head office in George St. Sydney.  We have several other consultants on site with businesses across Australia.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Matt Collis

Matt Collis

Position: Managing Director, and Head of Search Strategy

Profile: 15 years experience in Internet service and online businesses.  7 years Search Engine Marketing experience operating at a senior-level with leading Australian and Asia-Pacific brands. Founded Search Academy in August 2008 to focus on providing a completely new service model for Australian businesses.

Expertise: SEM, SEO, Social Media, Strategy, Project Management

Future: Currently studying an MBA with the Australian Graduate School of Management.  Plans to further develop and refine his business leadership skills.

 

Alastair Wright

Alastair Wright

Position: Search Consultant

Profile: 7 years experience in Search Engine Marketing and 15 years in Client Service Management. Has worked for two of the largest specialist Search agencies in the global industry; bigmouthmedia in the UK and Outrider in Australia. In-depth knowledge of ethical Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

Expertise: SEO, PPC, SMM, Service Management.

Future: Currently enjoying the flexibility and diversity of SEO Consultancy. Having passed the Google AdWords Fundamentals Exam in 2010 he hopes to broaden his practical experience in the PPC arena.

 

Mark Rimmer

Position: Search Consultant
Profile: 5 years experience in managing SEO & SEM campaigns for Australian clients across a variety of industries including the Consulting Services, eCommerce, Recruitment, Government and B2B sectors.
8 years professional service experience in the web & software industry in general.
Having worked with some of Australia’s and UK’s largest brands in their respective industries, he has a proven track record in successfully managing Search campaigns and delivering significant return on investment for online marketing budgets. Regularly stays across SEO best practices and trends through subscription to a number of prominent blogs, forums and membership sites
Specialties include: SEO, SEM, Web Analytics, Conversion Optimisation, Lead Generation, Usability Audits, eCommerce, Local Search, Affiliate Marketing, Business Process Analysis, Digital Media, Content Management Systems
