SEO firms are often complained about for contacting businesses in large numbers to solicit their services. As a whole this ends up generating a large amount of confusion and distrust among website owners, who end up uncertain how to proceed.
Rather than evaluate every one of the hundreds (or thousands!) of SEO providers on each of their merits, this article aims to educate the average website owner in some introductory best-practice they can often implement themselves.
We first focus on three core areas of SEO skills that are required:

Number 2: Write fresh, unique, and well-structured content
Number 3: Get your website visible
We then look at the many free and paid tools that exist to help website owners achieve these three core objectives.
While there is definitely a place for SEO vendors to add value to businesses, we believe that before you begin it’s best to get your head around these basic components of good SEO practice.
